- Students learned how to paint using Monet’s painting technique.
- Students created their own version of Monet’s “Waterlily Pond” using painting, drawing and collage techniques
Grade 5 & 6 learned about American artist Claes Oldenburg and his contributions to the Pop Art movement. They researched American foods and created clay sculptures.
They look good enough to eat 😋
Students began by drawing 2 cat silhouettes. We discussed how to create Zentangles using line patterns and how to create illusion designs. After students designed both cats they painted warm and cool checkered backgrounds. Lastly they mounted their cats on yellow paper and onto their checkered backgrounds. 😻🙌🏽
My Grade 2’s absolutely loved drawing these enlarged flower 🌺 🌸 bouquets.
This lesson comes from one of my amazing art teacher friends Cassie Stephens~ you can find more of her projects on her blog cassiestephens.blogspot.com
This is one of my favorite lessons.
Students started with an eye study on how to draw realistic animal eyes. They used oil pastels for coloring. Students then began to paint on newspaper. Once dried students ripped and shredded the newspaper 📰 and glued onto their blank canvas.
Students then placed the eyes and nose over the newspaper and painted more in-depth details to create their cats and dogs. Multi step lesson with amazing results ❤️🎨😻🐶🤩
Grade 5-6 did such an amazing job creating their personality swirls.
They were so focused on their patterns and designs. I am so proud of the outcome🤗❤️🎨
I had a blast teaching my students and their families how to create cupcakes using modeling clay. So much Fun! 🤗
I had the pleasure to watch one of my talented Amazing Artist create this masterpiece 🤩. She is only in Grade 10.
